Are you ready? Once again it’s time for the start of another school year. I hope everyone enjoyed the summer break.
I am excited to see all of the returning teachers and students and equally excited to meet all of the new teachers and students. I will be working hard to make 2017-2018 a great year!
Please check out the additional pages and links for more information on the School Counseling program.

Wishing everyone a very relaxing and rejuvenating summer break!
As we get close to the end of the school year please remember that it does not mean the end of learning. Please take the summer as an opportunity to not only have some fun and relaxation, but to continue teaching your child. Learning is not something that just takes place in the classroom. It is important that your child reviews and practices the skills learned in reading and math. Summer is also an opportunity for exploration and discussion. Use of the public library, informational websites, vacation and travel are all wonderful ways to enhance your child’s education.
If you’ve walked the halls at the school recently, I’m sure you’ve noticed the huge selection of items on the ‘lost and found, rack. (If you haven’t seen it, it’s at the end of the hallway leading out to the bus loop.) If you, or your child, is missing something, please go check it out. It always amazes me the number of items that no one bothers to claim. There are lots of coats, sweatshirts, and jackets that surely someone should be missing. At the end of last year we donated 4 bags of left items to a charity to redistribute. And while that is also a good use of these items, I would much rather they get claimed by their owner.
So check out the ‘Lost and Found’, we need more of these items to be ‘Found’!
And thank you so much to the PTA. Last year they took pity on the huge pile of lost items and purchased the rack for us. It not only looks better but should make it easier to find things.
Mondays are my favorite day of the week! Many people dislike Mondays, I see a lot of people dragging their way through the day, complaining about being tired and too much to do. I really think Monday has gotten an undeserved bad reputation
I love Mondays! Every week we get a fresh start. Whatever happened the week before is over and done. I think of Monday as a way to start over, to try some new ideas, a chance to maybe fix whatever went wrong the week before.
So let’s celebrate the new week and enjoy your Monday!
